Top sports events this season in Grandvalira!

Looking for a stag, hen or group ski trip with some added buzz? Then why not plan your trip around an exciting sports competition or world cup event? Whether you want to participate or spectate, Grandvalira (Andorra's largest ski region and home to the popular and low-cost party resort of Pas de la Casa) will once again demonstrate its commitment to top-level sporting events this season ...

SalomonSaturday 20th January (10am-5pm): SALOMON QUEST CHALLENGE
For some competitive fun organise 3-person teams and take part in thrilling challenges including a giant in an enclosed slope, a frenetic ski cross, a fun freeride and a banked slalom as well as other surprise challenges! Registration fee tbc. 

Saturday 10th - Sunday 11th March: SNOWBIKE (Grau Roig sector) 
New for 2018 ... a mountain bike race on snow with a track length of 21km and an altitude difference of 600m. All ages and abilities can enter - it's €45pp for registration, license and insurance. There will be a morning race plus an evening show from 5pm.

If you don't fancy the competition but want to have a go, 'Fat Bikes' (mountain bikes with wide tyres) will be available to rent from the beginning of the season with a 8-10km track available everyday (the 21km track will open during 2 weekends in Jan & Feb).    

Total FightMonday 12th - Sunday 18th March: ALPINE SKIING EUROPEAN CUP FINALS (El Tarter sector)
For the 4th season Grandvalira will host the European Cup Finals providing a week of top-level competition in Downhill, SuperG, Slalom & Giant Slalom. Due to the success of major events hosted in the resort to date, Grandvalira has also been chosen to host the Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals in 2019.  

Thursday 22nd - Sunday 25th March: TOTAL FIGHT MASTERS OF FREESTYLE (El Tarter snowpark)
Kick back and enjoy the 14th Total Fight Masters of Freestyle competition featuring the world's best riders in snowboard & freeski. The El Tarter Snowpark has expanded over the years to offer long routes with modules and areas for all levels of skiers and boarders. With a current length of 1.3km, it offers a place to evolve, improve and have fun in a safe environment as well as providing the ideal stage for the Total Fight Masters of Freestyle.

World CupThursday 5th - Saturday 7th April: SPEED SKIING WORLD CUP (Grau Roig sector)
Grandvalira will play host to the fastest skiers in the world for the two final trials of the Speed Skiing World Cup. In 2017, Swiss skier Philippe May surprised all the visitors with a new speed record on the Riberal track, achieving 199.56 km/h. The Riberal slope features a tower 10m high and 18m long and a max gradient of 74% enabling skiers to reach top speeds.
