This summer Easyjet have launched 16 new winter routes across the UK taking the budget airline to it's 1000 routes milestone!
Val d'Isere opens winter slopes in June for the first time!
For the first time in its 82 year history, Val d'Isere will open some of its winter slopes for summer skiing this June! The Pisaillas Glacier usually hosts the resort's summer season, however due to the exceptionally high levels of snowfall received this winter the road to the glacier is unlikely to be clear of snow in time for the start of the season.
Excellent start to the 2017 ski season!
Resorts across Europe are experiencing an excellent start to the 2017 ski season (we've even been blessed with the white stuff across the UK today!). Many lifts are open, with good snow depths being recorded on lower and upper slopes in top resorts such as Tignes, Val Thorens, St Anton and Sauze d'Oulx. Resorts in the lower-priced destinations of Andorra, Bulgaria and Slovenia are also seeing an impressive level and quality of snow cover. With further low temperatures and heavy snowfall forecast we're keeping our ski's crossed for an excellent season ahead!

Candide Thovex having 'one of those days'
France's Candide Thovex was born in Annecy in May 1982 and grew up in the village of La Clusaz. He learnt to ski at the age of two, by four he was building small jumps behind his house and at five he joined the local ski club where he developed a passion for mogul skiing. At 14 he won his first French National Junior Championships.

Arlberg opens four new lift systems for 2016 and becomes Austria's largest linked-up ski area
The birthplace of alpine skiing is once again making history. Thanks to four new cableways opening in December 2016, the Arlberg will become Austria’s largest linked-up skiing area with a total of 87 lifts and cable cars, 305km of marked ski runs and 200km of deep snow runs in back country terrain. Numbers that speak volumes.

Krvavec has been nominated for Slovenia's Best Ski Resort 2016 by the World Ski Awards Organisation, an initiative which recognises and rewards excellence in ski tourism.
Grandvalira Andorra marks 2015-16 as fourth consecutive season of growth!
Grandvalira has ended the 2015–16 season with a 4% increase in ski pass sales marking the fourth consecutive season of growth in the number of visitors to the Andorran ski region, which includes the popular resorts of Pas de la Casa and Soldeu.
