On the Mountain:

There are more than 30 huts and restaurants on the mountain, including quaint rustic huts, self-service and gourmet restaurants and a restaurant on each of the glaciers seating around 500-600 people. Apres-ski warms up during the afternoon amongst the many mountain huts and umbrella bars lining the ski runs back to town, with their offerings of buzzing terraces, live music and blaring Europop. Most of these runs are red so beginners and cautious intermediates should take the gondola back down into town.

For a more relaxed start to your afternoon head to Schneedorf at 2000m, Austria’s first Igloo village where candles are the only source of light and the outside world is muted from the snow providing a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a drink whilst sat on icy seats covered in soft sheepskin. Incentives and workshops, including an igloo building workshop day with lunch, are available.

In the Resort:

Solden is a top party resort and has rightfully earned its nickname 'Ibiza of the Alps' with the town revving up well before the lifts close. Lively apres-ski bars surround the base of the lift stations with the Giggijoch lift being the party end of town where you'll find people stomping on tables whilst merrily swinging their beers from mid-afternoon onwards. The main street Dorfstrasse, known as the party mile, has over 80 indoor and outdoor bars and from 3pm until 7pm revellers overflow from the outdoor areas onto the street. Other bars offer live sports, live music, pool tables and darts, and the resort has around a dozen nightclubs with international DJs keeping you stomping until at least 5am!

There are restaurants to suit all tastes in the town of Solden, from small pizzerias to award-winning establishments.

A full list of restaurant, bar and club recommendations will be provided with your itinerary.
